Luxury Item

Posted on Sun 5th Feb, 2006, 5:33pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/25, Aperture: f/5,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 50mm,
Captured: 3rd February 2006, 10:23am,

This is the second photo of the fridge. I'm not sure if I'll post a third one or not yet. Still in two minds about it.

With this one, I like the fact that the brand name reminds you that these were once seen as a luxury but the grime and muck means that this one wouldn't get touched with a ten-foot pole.

I've spent a while processing this too but I think the effect is a bit more subtle than on some of my previous stuff. I'm reading Martin Evening's book at the moment, which is excellent. Learning loads of new Photoshop skills and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Seems to be a "dereliction" theme ongoing here Jamey... Any coincidence that Practical Photography's compo at the moment is that theme as well ;) Nice shot tho mate

Believe it or not, I didn't know that PP had a dereliction theme running. I'll have a look into it, cheers. Just shot this fridge because it caught my eye on my journey to/from work.
