Hello?

Posted on Mon 30th Jan, 2006, 12:00am

ISO: 200, Shutter speed: 1/50, Aperture: f/4,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 18mm,
Captured: 29th January 2006, 3:23pm,

I spent this afternoon with my friends Simon and Sarah and their son Jacob. The adidas wotsit around his neck is my keyring type thing. You can't really see but he's using my little USB pen drive as a mobile phone and he kept saying 'hello?' into it.

I like this photo because I think there's a decent sense of depth in it. It feels like a 3D scene, rather than a flat photo. At least it does to me, anyway. It's a bit unfortunate that I didn't spot the plant growing out of Jacob's head but there you go. I should've cloned it out but I don't have time and what the hell. The world aint always perfect so why should my blog be?

Apologies if anyone's had trouble viewing my site today. It's been on and off the net like a yo-yo. I think they've been doing server upgrades.

Nice Portrait Jamey. Real Sunday supplement material.

Your best portrait shot so far. Soft focus background is great and the plant doesn't matter at all. Great.

Lovely shot - nice family photo. Mum and dad obviously think the world of him!

Loving the photo. Certainly one which the family could frame and hang up!
