BDC V Week: Keeping An Eye On Things

BDC V Week: Little Chefs

Posted on Tue 13th Dec, 2005, 3:09am

ISO: 1600, Shutter speed: 1/40, Aperture: f/4,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 18mm,
Captured: 10th December 2005, 4:17pm,

This week is going to be devoted to images from the BDC that took place this weekend just gone. I'll get the thanks out of the way now, right at the start. Special mention to Nersh for organising the whole thing and whoever printed the flyers/magnets (mr_o?) for some cracking publicity material. Cheers to everyone else who attended for making it a top event.

OK, onto the picture. This was on the seafront and it was just to the right of where some kids were playing football in the sand. Initially I started taking pics of the football (will probably post one later in the week) but this scene caught my eye just because I thought it was a nice little gathering, right before the main evening rush, I guess.

They started looking at me so I nerded about pressing buttons on my camera until they got bored and then I snapped this shot. I didn't notice the person reading the menu until afterwards but I think it definitely adds to the photo.

This reminds me of your other chef pic - Ice Bar? - excellent lighting and as you say the potential customer definitely adds to the photo.
