Donnington Castle, Just After Lunch on a Tuesday

Remember Jesus

Posted on Thu 28th Feb, 2008, 9:42pm

ISO: 200, Shutter speed: 1/20, Aperture: f/2,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 27th January 2008, 6:14pm,

I went for strong processing on this because I thought it was the sort of shot that could take it well. Let me know what you think.

Having a lens that's still sharp at f/2 really helps for photos like this.

I like this Jamey, however I'm not sure I like the crop.

I know what you mean. I think square might have worked better, on reflection.

I think I have to agree with Jide, cropping it an inch or so from the left of the post would have worked well. However, I like what you've done with the processing, this would make a great wallpaper.

Reject the croppists! Embrace the landscapers! I think the sheer wealth of colour on the right helps to balance out the whole shot.

I like the 'A' in the clouds to the right, looks like a sign which mocks the statement written on the box. Like this :)

It looks like it was taken in a studio. Interesting colours.

I wondered at the inclusion of what looked like a seagull or other small bird in the top left corner of the image and then, after no small time, realised it was, in fact, dust on my monitor... lovely images there mate. It's been a pleasure looking at them.

Hey Jamey I got your site address from Keli Jones and have been looking through all your stuff this morning and you have some amazing captures. Love your "free" random documentary style. Super cool. I am commenting on this shot because I have seen that sign slowly watching me from random places and I have started to make notice of it and now I see it on your blog. That's weird but kind of cool. Hope you good. M
