Dungeness Boat #2

Posted on Thu 15th Nov, 2007, 8:27pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/250, Aperture: f/10,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: Off-camera, Cropping: None,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 11th November 2007, 2:02pm,

My second boat shot and another one from earlier in the day, when the skies were moody.

There is a bit of off-camera lighting in this but I kept it pretty subtle.

I'm loving these. The clarity and detail are superb.

The muted sky certainly helps but the best bit is the inclusion of the other boat as it it introduces an element of ambiguity in respect of size. Or is that a Father Dougal moment "Near or far away".

nicely muted shot; suits the place.

fantastic. These murky backdrops keep tricking my mind into thinking i'm watching one of those super-cool phones 4 u adverts, you know - with the mongs.

Great stuff, I like the relationship between the two boats, one old, one newish.
