Dirty Looks

Posted on Mon 3rd Sep, 2007, 5:22pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/60, Aperture: f/4,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: Square,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 25th August 2007, 3:19pm,

This was taken along Surrey Street in Croydon, which is the main market street.

I started out just taking photos of the dump truck with the hi-vis guy doing his cleaning further down the alley. But then more people walked past and one of them turned to look at the other chap, so I quickly fired off some more frames.

When I looked back at the photos, I chose this one because of the interplay between the guy cleaning and the guy looking at him.

There is a lot going on here which is interesting to look at. I'd prefer to see the guy's face too who is just hidden behind the wing mirror though and it may work very well in b&w also - did you try that too?

So that is Croydon eh? As Bob says, loads to see but I'm not "sure" what's going on.

Interesting Jamey, your shot seems to show more of the truck than the interplay....It's a great shot but i don't think it's represents what you say you want it to represent
