Shame About The Poster

ISO: 400, Shutter speed: 1/100, Aperture: f/4,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 50mm,
Captured: 26th November 2005, 2:10pm,

So this is the follow on to yesterday's shot that I mentioned. It was taken at the weekend, when I was taking photos with my friend who works on the Henley Standard.

This was shot at a school Christmas fair. It was just outside one of the classrooms and I thought it looked quite cool. But maybe that's because I'm a city boy and schools round here don't have racks of miniature wellies outside.

Anyway while I was taking this shot, my friend was getting a photo of one of the kids and noting down his name when an irate parent started babbling on about how they weren't allowed to give out names "for health and safety reasons because it's school policy." Basically I assume this to mean paedophiles.

We both got a bit annoyed at this and he went to talk to the people in charge who were a lot more relaxed. They didn't ok it outright but they let him at least make notes, like any good journalist should be able to. And without fail, every parent of every child at every Christmas fair we covered was more than happy to give out the info.

I hate knee-jerk reactionaries. Anyway the title of this shot refers to the obviously crap poster in the frame. It annoys me but I can't be bothered to remove it.

Ha ParentPower (c)! It sounds like your pal experienced it too. I do like this - the photo that is - all boots in a row. And all girls boots too I suspect with the boys ones relegated to underneath.
