Untitled #43

Suitcase

Posted on Tue 2nd Jan, 2007, 5:47pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/40, Aperture: f/5,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 28th December 2006, 3:44pm,

I spotted this on my wanderings the other day. It's not come out as well as I'd hoped though, the original scene was much more interesting somehow.

Not sure why you seem to be a little hesitant about the image in your intro Jamey! It works with both barrels for me. It has a multitude of lovely tones and a very simple composition that works. I like. Mal

One big mess, looks very nice though. Like the battered old chest with the slodges on the wall and the floor.

I know what you mean about it looking better in real life, that happens with the majority of my photos ;) Nice natural textures tho

Not a fan of this at all, to me it looks like one big mess and not nice... Sorry had to be said.

There doesn't appear to be a single focal point. By that I mean the wall is competing with the chest for my attention. I think both would make good pictures on their own but maybe not together like this.

There's a lot of competing textures but I think that's good. Sort of puts the case in it's environment. Hope you tripoded it open for the swag.
