Random Photo

Posted on Tue 22nd Nov, 2005, 12:46am

ISO: 1600, Shutter speed: 1/60, Aperture: f/3.2,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 50mm,
Captured: 21st November 2005, 9:08pm,

Spotted this chap as we were waiting to get into the Ice Bar in London tonight. Unfortunately they had a power failure or something so we couldn't get in and have to go back another time.

Anyway back to the photo... I just love how random it all is. A red phone box, an old umbrella, an iron railing, a chef on the phone underneath the number 28. I mean really, how much more random can a photo be?

And I'd like to use this paragraph to say thanks to Bex, Jo and Carlos for a great night. Great Mojitos. Great fun. Thanks.

Love this photo, especially the colours. Its very reminiscent of the film "The Cook, The Thief, His Wifer and Her Lover", if you haven't seen it, I suggest you do... afterall it is a British movie.

Random: yes. Excellent: definately! This is what photography is about to me capturing moments and stituations that get missed by most. And I agree it does look like a film set.

Nice one. I like how the reds lead the eye across the frame from the left. Interesting light too.

Absolutely marvelous - though I think this is more reminiscent of an old back alley in venice (aside from the totally random phone box of course!). Keep em comin fella

Thanks everyone. It does look like a film set, now you mention it. Kinda surreal at the same time. The more I look at it, and read your comments, the more I notice.

Lovely! When I first looked at it I thought it was something from a waxwork museum. I think the film set look is from the lighting. It is one of the best pics you have taken IMHO.

go to check out, Fri 6th Jan, 2006, 4:04pm
chef 28 please

I love this shot, the lighting is just perfect. It's just a shame the guys face isn't in more focus
