Untitled #42

Posted on Sat 16th Dec, 2006, 6:00pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/400, Aperture: f/8,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 33mm,
Captured: 20th March 2006,

Not much to say here, it's a shot of an aircraft wing taken through the window.

On my monitor at home this looks fine but on my monitor at work it had banding in the blue area. Can you let me know if it exhibits any banding where you are please, as I don't know which of my monitors is 'correct' (they've both been hardware calibrated with the same device as well).

I can see banding but only ever so slight. I like the ambiguity - might be the façade of a modern building rather than a wing.

I'm glad you didn't just stick up a picture of the whole wing. I'm bored of seeing them. This is that bit different and it works very well.

No banding here. I'm sure if I looked at it on my laptop it might reveal what you fear. Love teh hue on the edge.

i checked it on my desktop and my tablet. desktop shows slight banding and tablet does not. either way it is still a nice image and my thoughts were the same as jon's.

Lovely - wonderful composition you've created here by going corner to corner with the wing - very graphic.
