Green Towery Things

Posted on Sun 20th Nov, 2005, 3:54pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/80, Aperture: f/4.5,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 18mm,
Captured: 19th November 2005, 4:09pm,

Continuing my run of astonishingly imaginitive image titles... This one is another shot from the same location as yesterday's entry.

I shot it because as I looked up I noticed the sky was a really deep blue and the green things were a very deep green. I think the sky's come out a bit more 'true' than the green things have (if anyone know's the proper name for them put me out of my misery). They were quite a dark green in real life but I couldn't reproduce it properly in the pic.

I did look around for the 'funky handwritten signs' mentioned in the London Photobloggers article linked to above. I also went into a car breakers but I think all that stuff would be better shot earlier in the day when there's more light and on a weekday when there's more places open.

Bloody Nora! A great photo - the blue and green works so well. And I love the catchlight on the ladder & platform. It has the look of SW USA about it too.
