Untitled #31

Posted on Sat 11th Nov, 2006, 6:41pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/50, Aperture: f/5.6,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 5th November 2006, 2:27pm,

I went out shooting with David/milou today but the weather wasn't very helpful so we ended up looking at a few exhibitions instead.

Seeing lots of good photos printed up large made me seriously consider shooting some film so I bought a Holga for £21 and a roll of medium format film for £4 and shot it.

I've no idea what it looks like yet, probably abysmal but here's hoping that at least one of the shots comes out and motivates me to continue with it.

I really like this image but I would have liked it better if there was a bit more harsh lighting. When did you and David meet and where?

Depends what you mean. We know each other from a forum and have done for a while. If you mean today specifically, we wandered along embankment and into the centre.

And I jabbered on like the old man I am whilst Jamey took loads of shot. I like this one - has echoes of the umbrella man shot.

Yet again I like the main elements of the shot and the post processing but I don't think the texturing is doing the shot any justice at all mate. Sorry as I know you obviously really "dig" this texture business.

What a great angle to take a shot. Wonderfully abstract!

jamey, this is a favorite of mine from your recent images. the angle is great and the texture is so interesting.

Very nice! Nice processing. I can't find out what are those little red dots on the road...is it asphalty or chewing gums? :-)

I like the detail you've managed to tease out of the road surface and the way the lampost colour is similar to the double lines. Very balanced and interesting.
