Untitled #25

Posted on Thu 7th Sep, 2006, 9:43pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/200, Aperture: f/6.3,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: Fill, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM, Focal length: 100mm,
Captured: 6th May 2006, 6:16pm,

The more astute among you may have already spotted but this is a copycat picture, I've based it on Chromasia's shot from yesterday.

Seeing it made me remember I had this from ages ago and I dismissed it at the time but having seen DJN's effort I thought I might be able to rescue it.

There is no originality here whatsoever. I've simply copied someone else purely to see if I could get anything similar.

yours has a longer neck than mine ;-)

He also looks meaner and less clean. He's altogether more badass than your seagul, which is surprising as this was taken in Brighton. You'd think the southern ones would care more about their image.

Yep, yours looks a lot harder than mine. Perhaps they'd perch-swapped for the week.

With any luck, Channel 4 will have made a fly-on-the-wall docu-soap about their experiences in alien towns.

djn1, Thu 7th Sep, 2006, 11:53pm
I'll look out for it.

One for the TiVo, for sure... Well... This is all rather embarassing. One of the only times djn drops by and no-one else is commenting. Bloody inconsiderate mates going abroad to get married, that's what it is. You hear me Sonic? You're dead when you and Ribby get back.

Sharp & mean with a good clean background.

Nice Jamey, bit different for you, but I like it, nice smooth back ground and nice and crisp :)

It almost has a CG feel to it. Nice work Jamey.

Jamey, Fri 8th Sep, 2006, 1:03am
You mean CGull ;)

Jide Alakija, Fri 8th Sep, 2006, 2:22am
Almost looks exactly like the one on chromasia.... LMAO @ DJN's first comment.

groovyf, Fri 8th Sep, 2006, 12:53pm
You captured detail really well with this. He looks like the king of the castle with that beady eye

Sysagent, Fri 8th Sep, 2006, 10:00pm
Isn't this the shot I have just se.... Nice close focus and good detail, nice shot.

Well Ive just done a flicking back and forth comparison, and I have to diagree with the 'hardness' rating. djn's is definitely harder, he's just hunkering down against the cold. Yours is lapping up the balmy heat in sunny brighton

Jamey, Mon 11th Sep, 2006, 3:53pm
Right, outside, now ;)
