Found This Spoon, Sir

Posted on Fri 28th Jul, 2006, 5:05pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/25, Aperture: f/5.6,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM, Focal length: 20mm,
Captured: 23rd July 2006, 7:48pm,

Last weekend I decided to take a trip to one of the local commons as there was a good sky and I was (and still am) running low on photos that I thought were worth posting.

Despite my best efforts, the only shot I brought back that didn't get deleted was this spoon. The vignetting effect is mostly natural on this.

Did you colour the grass in this one?

Jamey, Fri 28th Jul, 2006, 5:35pm
Yeah, I did a bit of playing with colour channels I think.

I like the colouring. It has a dreamlike quality.

Spoon WLTM ice cream. Good SOH and solvent. A smooth shot and slight reddish tinge in the grass to make it look as though there's a colour run. Daliesque

One good shot is not a bad thing. I was reading about one of Ansel's photo expeditions. He lugged all that equipment up some mountain on an all day hike, shot twelve plates and only came out with one keeper. I tell myself that story often to lift my spirits.

Very sinister, the colourful pink spoon in a barren waste of grass. Very nice shot.

Strange image indeed... I like it and then I dont for some reason, I can't put my mind to it tho..

I like this! but then it does remind me of a few bits of my own work!! Don't worry about things like hit rates! its not what your in it for (is it?)... I like the partially coloured, and how there are still some bits of greeny blue left around ;)

Nice work with the processing. The colors are great.
