Back Yard

Posted on Mon 17th Jul, 2006, 7:58pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/6, Aperture: f/10,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: 16:9,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 9th June 2006, 9:17pm,

I'm running a bit low on good shots at the moment so if I miss a few days here and there, bear with me. There are a few shots left to process from previous outings but I haven't managed to take any photos I really liked for a couple of weeks now.

Like the texture and the grey and yellow goes well together too.

Its all good Jamey. Im having the same problem. Its been so hot here to get out. It's like 104 today with a lot of humidity. yuck. I like the detail in this shot.

Hmmmm...interesting....okay I'm going to be critical here...but what are you focusing on exactly?

Jide Alakija, Mon 17th Jul, 2006, 9:56pm
Oh by the way...I'M BACK!!!

Jamey, Mon 17th Jul, 2006, 11:27pm
Jide - to be honest, I don't know. You've caught me napping on this one, it's a very lazy shot in as much as I only took it because I knew I could process it to look half-decent (which is all it is, half-decent) and I had nothing better to go with. It's just one of those days for me, and I've got a feeling it'll turn into one of those weeks.

I like this roadkill perspective of the yellow line down the middle! The details are fantastic as is the dof!!

Don't take heart my friend. I'm sure if you have a lovely red pin or something on the left third it would have really stood out, what do you think?

Jamey, Tue 18th Jul, 2006, 11:48am
Heh. Now you've made me want to carry a red pin around all the trime, just in case.

It's ok... But not brilliant, I think the issue here with your "mental block" is perhaps you are trying to be something in your photography that you arent and you should just let the "you" come out in your shots instead of trying to emulate the "Hallowed One". :-)
