Self Portrait #1

Posted on Fri 14th Jul, 2006, 11:01pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 614 Secs, Aperture: f/4,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM, Focal length: 10mm,
Captured: 16th June 2006, 1:28am,

This was actually taken in pitch darkness, in the middle of the night. I stood in front of the camera for ages doing a variety of stupid dance moves but making sure my feet didn't move.

That's all I really have to say about it :)

Currently listening to groovers in the heart on vent and it fits this picture so well.

Awesome. I like how your feet are in focus and the rest of you is blured. Pitch dark...Very cool, Looks like daytime =)

I like it, I like it a lot. I don't know how you've managed to bring it out like that from a pitch black photo but its a really nice effect. Good work :)

Just to clarify - the original exposure wasn't pitch black because I left the shutter open for so long (about ten minutes). It's just that the 'scene' was dark due to it being the middle of the night.

Mmm you need to either get out more or stop going out Jamey... Nice different shot tho.

Seen some of your previous work on this style. Something you are making very much your own. Nice work here buddy.

An absolutely great photo. I like it a lot, when people are "fuzzy".

Really interesting shot. Very creative. 614 seconds is a long time to dance without moving your feet!

Chris - you're not wrong there. I'd go so far as to class it as exercise.
