Untitled #11

Posted on Fri 23rd Jun, 2006, 1:44pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/800, Aperture: f/5.6,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 18mm,
Captured: 3rd June 2006, 3:23pm,

I really like this shot and, as with many of the photos I end up liking, it was basically a grab shot. I just decided to put the camera down in front of me and focus close to see what happened.

Jonathan put up a similar shot taken at the same time and I really like his too. I guess I just have a thing for low angles and near focusing.

Love the depth of field on this (or lack of)!

Nice and the DOF does reallyt work on this shot a lot, I have a few of these images yet to process using the ubiquitous polarizer ;P

There's something about it that I really like. I think it's the fact that it's unusual. I often struggle to produce unusual shots. Well done.

I've seen a few out-of-focus shots recently that really work - this one included..

This is quite surreal and looks, at first sight, to have been taken with a pinhole or lomo type camera. I like the viewpoint [there's a little shadow type blob on the left that slightly breaks up the path's lines].
