First Light

Posted on Sat 17th Jun, 2006, 6:28pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/250, Aperture: f/8,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: Wireless, Cropping: Square,
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM, Focal length: 10mm,
Captured: 3rd June 2006, 4:51am,

Not much to say about this. It's a bit more contrasty (overall) than I normally like but I still keep coming back to it.

Love the detail in the grass and the colours throughout give it a nice feeling. Nice shot.

I like the colours and the DOF but my eyes keep wandering around the picture without settling on anything in particular.

Not sure about the use of flash here... think another long exposure could have been better (to help reduce the over exposed grass)... I love the colours and the contrast isn't too bad (actually kinda like it) ;)

Mmm as Jon says no "real" point of interest to the shot and maybe yeh a long exposure would have worked, but it would have involved ND's etc etc. Don't get me wrong tho the shot does look good though!
