Victim #1

Posted on Sat 10th Jun, 2006, 3:00pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 15 Secs, Aperture: f/8,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 18mm,
Captured: 3rd June 2006, 2:30am,

And here's the victim I promised you yesterday. You might be forgiven for thinking it's a tramp taking a nap but it's actually David of Milouvision fame.

This was shot while we were waiting for the sunrise to start properlyand at the time I intended to process it so it looked a bit more peaceful, like the photo of Chris & Jonathan that I put up the other day. However, I white balanced this the same as yesterdays and thought they made a nice pair.

So THAT'S how he gets all those lovely effects with the sea...he's actually slightly blurred in real life.

Nice work... Great perspective, beautiful colours! Michael

Hur hur! Victim #1 implies there are more...It was a long night for an old man. The long exposure seems to have removed my grey hairs (er...I mean sun-kissed barnet) :D Very successful composition there and the processing works a treat.

Missed a chance for a blurred Blurr too I guess.

I think the light flares from the lamp post act as a distraction for me. did you de-saturate the "victim"?? jus seems to blend into the background quite easily because of the colours being so similar to the wall

Jamey, Sun 11th Jun, 2006, 12:27pm
Yeah, on reflection I should've taken out the lens flares a bit more on this one. And I didn't desaturate the victim, no.

Nice shot, with rough sleeper, oops sorry david.

I like it. Beautiful colours and nice composition.

I like it too. The white balance effect works really well.

Jonathan, Wed 14th Jun, 2006, 5:56pm
Prefer yesterdays, but still a very nice capture and processing.
