ISO: 400, Shutter speed: 1/10, Aperture: f/4,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: Wireless, Cropping: 16:9,
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM, Focal length: 10mm,
Captured: 3rd June 2006, 3:35am,

I'm back from Whitby in one piece (fantastic meetup, thanks guys) and I've finally started trawling (pun intended) through the images.

I'm putting this up first because it's late and this one didn't need much processing. Also because the rest of you seem to have put up similar shots (Chris/Jon) to start with so I thought I'd follow suit.

Expect much more in the way of Whitby photos over the coming week or two.

Poor lad he looks frozen to the bone, he would have been better off snuggled up with the young lass Helen instead of being out in the middle of the night taking photos... Oh and yes I like the flash type lighting just on Chris's main part, good image.

That flash is excellent. I'll have to save my pennies and get one. Cracking shot Jamey.

Rather fab. Never thought that flash at 2:00 am or thereabouts would work so well.

Off-camera flash is the daddy. It can still be hit'n'miss though. This was one of the test pics. The second one I took looked crap but that's often the way - grab shots end up looking better than the proper ones.

I think the best about this picture, and what is not usualy present with this kind of photography, is the natural transition between the dark background and flashed foreground (usualy looking superimposed with flash in the dark)
