The Drink

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/250, Aperture: f/4,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM, Focal length: 100mm,
Captured: 2nd May 2006, 1:43pm,

Apologies for the late posting of this, I've been out all day and only just got home.

So this is the partner shot to yesterday's. It was taken before the other one and I don't think the guy saw me but it probably doesn't matter either way.

I'm really happy with this photo. It's exactly the sort of thing I like to post.

My favourite since the lad in the Lethal Bizzle hat.

wow. Great processing really adds to the atmosphere of the picture. That guys face is absolutely great, very good capture.

Definitally a great capture ;)0 I really like the feel of this shot (the whole thing: contrast, saturation, vignetting, composition). works really well The cars a little distracting... but only slightly :)

one of my favourite candids from you, really well done

Jamey, Sun 14th May, 2006, 3:05pm
JD - I agree. I wish the car hadn't been there, or that I was able to process it to stop it glaring so much (the reflections, I mean) but I can't. I cut it down as much as I could but any lower just looked too weird. And it was too big to clone out. It's a shame but I still like the shot.

Aaaargh the car is going to hit us!!! Nice shot Jamey good processing and nice tight focusing.

Its a shame its not a police car, that'd look fly. I really like it though, as Ive already said, as per our discourse via Em Ess En. Skibbidy.

I understand your happiness with this picture, it's a great street photo. You had the patience to capture the right moment, and the processing is also good. The only thing that bothers me is the left part of the photo, from the bar to the left, because it prevents from concentrating in the main object, the man. Have you tried to crop it out even if the format changes?

Jamey, Thu 18th May, 2006, 8:44pm
I didn't crop it because I like the frame as a whole. I think the fairly tight focus on the man keeps the attention on him instead of elsewhere.
