Target Acquired

Posted on Mon 24th Apr, 2006, 12:29pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/320, Aperture: f/4,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: Square,
Lens: Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM, Focal length: 100mm,
Captured: 21st April 2006, 1:45pm,

This is the second of the three shots. I wanted to keep it in colour but it just looked so much better in mono that it couldn't be ignored.

I'm pretty happy with the processing on this, particularly the dodging and burning, but tomorrow's shot is still my favourite.

I like the fact that the guy is looking off frame. It really works well. Nice processing too, he stands out from the background and demands attention.

I'm looking forward to seeing what tomorrows is like cos I think this is pretty sweet! The contrast of light and shadows on his face works really well (guess thats the dodging and burning)... great work

Great conversion to B/W. The portrait has much strength. The nude wall behind him enhances the strength of the character.

this man has such wonderful wrinkles
