High Noon

Posted on Fri 17th Feb, 2006, 5:58pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/400, Aperture: f/8,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: Square,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 18mm,
Captured: 16th February 2006, 2:50pm,

The voice in my head's telling me not to post this for several reasons but I'm going to anyway.

It was shot yesterday and much of the appeal of the scene itself has failed to make it into the finished article. the sun was really bright on the glass, making it hazy and showing up how dirty the windows were, but that doesn't really come across here. The yellow on his shoes went with the wall, but again it's a detail that's been lost. His expression and attitude was great but I resorted to taking sly 'from the hip' shots so they're not really sharp enough.

All-in-all, I should've done better really. But I still liked the scene and the idea behind it. And that's my shadow, in case you were wondering. Not sure why it looks like I'm wearing a triangular billboard.

It's interesting. I think the weird lines of the storefront kind of mess up the look of the shot.
